Clean Beauty Mission

I've been on a CLEAN BEAUTY mission recently! After doing some research, I discovered how many terrible ingredients there are in so many common beauty and skincare products. My basic eyeliner was full of carcinogens - I was shocked to find plastic, aluminum, tar, neurotoxins, ingredients that cause hormone disruption, vomiting, dehydration, and more. Many products contain parabens, sulfates such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfates - an ingredient classified as a "moderate hazard" by the EWG 's skin deep cosmetics database that's been linked to cancer, neurotoxicity, organ toxicity, skin irritation and endocrine disruption, and more!

What's worse - we're allowing these ingredients in our products ourselves. The United States has not passed a major federal law to regulate the safety of ingredients used in personal care products since 1938. Over the past two decades, the European Union has banned more than 1,300 chemicals in the product formulas of personal care products and restricted the levels of over 250 more in such products. The United States has only partially banned 30 to date. (source - Beauty Counter)

So I'm on a mission to clean up my beauty act! As someone with a few autoimmunes / chronic illness, I know I need to do everything I can to limit any more illnesses and keep myself healthy. I've lost a few relatives to cancer, and I cannot anymore in good conscience slather my largest organ with products that have been shown to cause cancer.

I'm excited to share some of the recent products I've found that I love! I show some of the products I've been using in the video and talk about why I like them or don't like them, and they are all linked below. I believe in finding what is right and best for me, so if there is something I don't like, I'll tell you guys! If it's something I love, I'll tell you that too! Enjoy!
